Life can be a fearful thing. Who can you trust? Yourself? Who's in control here? Is there anyone looking out for me? If anyone, are they both good and powerful enough to do the job right? How can we be sure we'll be happy and safe?
I've asked these questions non-stop over a decade. I've come away with one big answer and a lot of new questions. These are the first chapters of my story. I want to tell it to you.
It's a story about the feeling you might get when standing before a great Lion. Will he show you his ferocity? Or his mercy? In that moment, who will save you, if he doesn't?

Standing by the roaring sea, I notice figures next to me. I'm not what I used to be, they say. Places I thought held the truth, I'm seeing now a pointless feud. I knew, somehow, I would find you here.
Among the ghosts that surround this place, between the walls in this house of disgrace, I find myself flat on my face again.
Outside a sunny afternoon, but I'm stuck inside this darkened room, and I won't see the silver moon tonight. This misery will not be brief… I'll close my eyes, stop and breathe; I need to find a way to leave you here!
